My almond croissant fixation.

The almond croissant was never meant to be gourmet, it was simply a French bakers' trick for rescuing stale croissants instead of tossing them. Now I track down the best ones I can find.

Equal parts obsession and appreciation for a good comeback.

    A superb reminder that looks can indeed be deceiving. It may not look like much, but this funky looking croissant packed flavour and amazing texture. The light wash of apricot jam was perfect.

    Truly the best pastry I have had outside of France. Yes, I said it. Its PACKED with almond filling and topped with perfectly toasted almond flakes. Mokoko, you’ve done yourself and France proud.
